I hope someone, anyone, eventually reads these. But if not at least I have a record of what I've been doing.
We put up our Christmas tree last night. That was fun ! I think our poor tree is on its last leg. Back to a real one next year. I miss real trees but it is nice being able to put it up in November and not have to worry about needles all over the place by January 1st. But putting it up this early, I am so sick of looking at it by Christmas it just has to come down December 26th.
Hobarts Christmas party is this weekend. I still don't have a babysitter and I have nothing to wear but its only Wednesday. I still have lots of time. And with as screwed up as Kate's life is this week, I may have a sitter after all. She is suppose to be going to a party at one of her friend's houses but life is tough for Kate right now so she may not be going. She found a new boy to like since Matt but it seems that even though he's in her group of friends none of her friends liked him.
Ahhh, the life of a teenager - - better known as a soap opera. I told Kate it would really be ironic {since everything happened because she broke up with Matt} that if at the end of all this nonsense, Matt was the only one she was left speaking to. You couldn't pay me to be a teenager again.
And just think, I only have 4 more kids to go through this with !

Wow it is almost the end of November already ! The parade was soooo long - almost 2 hours. And of course by the time I got back to the car, we were late to pick up Milt, who was working overtime. What else is new??? Everyone's toes were numb from standing outside that long but at least it wasn't snowing and there weren't big slush puddles along the curbs so the kids were dry.
This is the last weekend before Christmas that we don't have to go anywhere - we should spend the time doing some Christmas shopping. Next weekend is Hobart's Christmas Party and then Dennis & Audrey's 25th wedding anniversary party and then Milt's family Christmas. That takes us up to Dec. 13 then there is just 1 more weekend then its Christmas. Wow !
Kate broke up with her boyfriend on the weekend. I think I was more upset about it then she was. I don't think he had a clue it was coming but she hasn't felt the same for a while now so it was for the best, I guess. I just know her next boyfriend isn't going to be as nice to her though. Matt just adored her but I don't think she gave him much of a chance, she got mad at him about his costume for Kit's medieval party and just never quite got over that. Ah well, young love - you couldn't pay me to go back to being 17 again !
I am almost ready to fill out the papers for going back to school. I went to see the girl at CCS last week and she put together a Medical Secretarial Program for me. Now I just have to go back to JBJ and convince them to get EI to pay for it for me. It looked like it was about $6,000; hopefully I was reading the numbers wrong ! I also got a package to get my name put on the list for occasional office staff for the school board. That would be pretty cool. I just have to get a police record check {hope they don't find out about ALL my convictions LOL} and I mailed the papers back this morning. That would be a good job - - going to different schools for a few days here and there filling in for sick office staff or maternity leaves ! I could even do the school at the same time cause the school board wouldn't be all the time. Things always seem to work out in the end !

It is so cold in here ! Our first snowstorm of the season. Schools closed; roads closed; no hydro for 5 hours ! What a way to end the week.
Tomorrow is the Santa Claus Parade. Too soon ! I'm not ready for it be Christmas yet.
Kate got her award last week. Milt took 2 hours off work to go watch the ceremony. She also received the "Georgian Bay Children's Choir Grade 11 Vocal Music Award". Cool ! She knew she was getting another award -- just had no idea what it was for. It was a cheque for $100 ! Milt wants her to buy a bond; she wants to save it for University. Even when they agree, they fight !
Kylee didn't make the volleyball team. She was kinda upset; 18 grade 6 girls tried out and the teacher only picked 1 grade 6 and now that kid doesn't even want to play cause none of her friends made the team. Wahwahwah !
Today is Kwyn's picture day ! He had a nice little rooster tail sticking up at the top when he left this morning. When he takes his hat off, every piece of hair is going to be flying all over the place.
It is still snowing - nice light fluffy stuff now. This room is freezing; whose idea was it to move the computer out of the living room??? O ya, mine !
Gotta go make some tea to heat up my fingers so I can type.

Well, we survived another Halloween. Only got caught in one shower/thunderstorm. It lasted about 10 minutes or half a block -- just long enough to soak everyone and everything. Kwyn was dragging his bag around - his candy is all wet. Mmmmm, wet smarties, yum yum.
I have now discovered hatelistings. I don't like the idea of them but I do like making the layouts. So far I have 6 of them: Barney; School Buses and Sami Brady, the mean chick from Days Of Our Lives are finished and running. I am staying away from actual people listings; I saw the Mary-Kate and Ashley one and it is just mean! Fanlistings has become so popular now there are very few options left. I am now making Ouija Boards and Sorry sites. So in total I have something like 22 fanlistings and 6 hatelistings ! I have way too much time on my hands. Kate has received another scholarship bar for last year's marks. The awards assembly is on Friday ! Woohoo ! She must have just squeaked an 80% because her first semester was barely about 70% but her 2nd semester was 90% ! Report cards should be out in the next few weeks - her classes are so easy, she has no excuse for bad marks.
Kylee is waiting to hear if she made the volleyball team or not. She was suppose to phone me and let me know but I haven't heard anything yet. Not sure if that is good or bad !
Fall is definitely here now; there are no leaves left on any trees! Yuck, I hate winter.
