Yet another snow day ! ! ! I can't believe how many snow days we've had this year. They cancelled the damn buses yesterday afternoon again. Thankfully the girls got a ride home with a friend's mother this time. It was clear out last night but buses were cancelled again this morning. Now Friday is a PD day so there better be school tomorrow.

I have the worst sinus cold and headache right now. My teeth have been being a pain in the ass lately - toothaches every time I eat and the pain goes right up the side of my head down to my neck. I ate all the aspirin yesterday so I am just going to have to suffer today, definitely not suffering in silence though, as witnessed by the dog who is hiding under my bed.

Who and I went for coffee on Monday - it was fun. Weird at first, but fun nonetheless. I haven't seen anyone from high school in forever; guess I should stop hibernating and get out there. I hope to see him again; not sure what he is looking for by contacting me after all these years but we will have to see where it goes.

I must have forgotten to shower or something yesterday (I did shower, honest) cause no body wanted to talk to me. Who disappeared on me, even my mom was "busy, sorry can't talk". I am starting to get a complex.

Groundhog Festival is this weekend with the big prediction on Monday. I am so sick of winter. Not sure if we are going to the parade but we always do so we should be going. Hopefully all this snow will keep the tourists home - I hate tourists.

I need a nap. I was up at 6 this morning and tried going back to bed but my nose is so stuffed up I couldn't breathe lying down. I may be forced to lay down this afternoon before I fall down.

We had a big snow storm yesterday - it started Wednesday and they sent the buses to school yesterday anyway and then the bus company decided that since the roads were all being closed by noon, they better not send the buses out in the afternoon so everyone had to go pick up their kids. The girls went home with Chelsea although when Chelsea's dad offered to take them, I don't think he realized there was 3 of them. Milt was going to pick them up on his way home but the road out of Hepworth was closed so he couldn't go to Chelsea's anyway. He went to work this morning but was home by 2 and then we went and picked up the girls. The laneway hadn't been blown yet so I got elected to walk up and get them. It was so long and the snow was up to my knees.

It was so quiet here last night with just Kate and Kwyn. I finally watched Lord of the Rings. It was good; now I have to find 4 hours to watch the second one then I will be ready to go watch the Return of the King.

Kate's boyfriend is here for supper. I'm sure he thinks we're all psychotic. Well, he better get used to us; we are all psychotic.

What a week! I got an e-mail a few weeks ago from an old friend from high school so we've been chatting online a few times. He wants to get together for coffee but he's only home on the weekends and it is kinda hard to get away from here any tme on the weekends. I want to see him though; I haven't seen him since college and that was like, a few {to say the least} years ago. I am kinda nervous about meeting him though; I've changed since high school, just a bit though. He is home again this weekend so we'lll have to see what happens. Last weekend I was online all day Saturday {and didn't Milt flip about that} waiting but he never came on. First thing Sunday morning, I woke Kate up so I could use the computer. Hey, who knows, if you are reading this, I can't stop thinking of you. Hope you pass!

We spent an hour tobagganing Sunday afternoon. I should have been home doing laundry but who the hell wants to do that on a Sunday afternoon. That was fun but cold. The roads were a mess cause we had about 6 inches of snow {that's all I can take at one time} and the ploughs were doing their usual wonderful job. The kids had a blast but we only took 2 tubes so they had to share. New concept, didn't work well.

I spent about 20 minutes at emerg Sunday night. Kwyn whacked his head on the chair in the kitchen and split his forehead open about an inch long and it split to about 1/2 inch wide. It was gross. I couldn't even look at it. Just stuck a washcloth on his forehead, got the bleeding stopped and drove into town. The doctor just put steri-strips on it but it still looks gross. He's gonna have a nasty scar cause it could have used one more piece of strip to hold the skin together.

Kate has 3 days left of this semester. She has so much homework to get caught up on and handed in before Thursday plus she has to study for exams. She will be so glad when this semester is over. Yeah ! she'll be home all next week, all day, every day. Can't wait.

Kylee and Kelsey both have to write speeches. Man, I hate speeches. Kylee is doing hers on Wiarton Willie and Kelsey has no idea. She thinks maybe Hillary Duff if she can find some information on her. Kari did her play at school yesterday; she was the woodsman in Little Red Riding Hood. She says it went really well.

I am off to the dentist tomorrow with Kywn; gotta get those shiny silver teeth checked. He lost his second tooth Sunday afternoon. He has a lisp now when he talks.

I am meeting Melissa for lunch tomorrow. I haven't seen her in a long time. She is sorta engaged {just waiting for him to pay for the ring she picked out on the weekend} and the date has been set for sometime in June, 2005. I guess she likes long engagements.

Kate's new boyfriend is coming over on Saturday to "watch movies" - hope she plans on doing a LOT of cleaning in her room before then. Well, this is one way for her to actually help with some housework.

Well, the 3rd day back to school is a SNOW DAY ! Yippee NOT. The kids have discovered that I will pay them for doing chores so they are busy little beavers. A quarter to do the dishes, $1 to take out the garbage, $1 to shovel off the deck. I paid Kwyn a quarter last night to go to bed and another quarter to not pee the bed. It worked! Finally a dry night !

Milt got the woodstove going last night finally ! I hate to look at the hydro bills for the last 3 months. He took the $10 part back that he broke and bought a $35 piece so it better work.

Kate's play opens tomorrow night. But with today being a snow day she has no way to get over to practice and she'll have to go with Milt tomorrow so she doesn't get stranded at home on opening night. They haven't sold many tickets and hopefully this nasty weather doesn't keep more people at home but people in Owen Sound are nuts - - they go out in snowstorms. Last year driving home from work in a snow storm, all the restaurants' parking lots were full and the movie theatre parking lot was full. What's a little snow storm when you want to go to the movies ! !
